EigenDA (@eigen_da): Optimal DA does not require consensus. Why?

Estimated coin impact

Scores are not price-change percentages. High impact means a score of +70 or more, or -70 or less.

Optimal DA does not require consensus. Why? Because not everything is a nail. Hear us out. We’re obsessed with building the best DA solution. And part of that is being the fastest. The problem is, consensus is slow. (Very slow.) But data availability does not require independent consensus to solve. So, we didn’t build an entirely new blockchain to serve the needs of your existing one. We built an AVS on EigenLayer and scaled our operators there. And we can scale as we decentralize. That means we use the consensus—and security—of Ethereum. Win-win. As we build and improve, we'll get closer to our vision of perfect DA. When you’re a hammer, everything looks like a nail. When you’re working with blockchains, everything looks like it requires consensus. The best DA doesn’t. So we looked for the core. And stripped the rest away. That's EigenDA.
