X is proud to provide financial support to U.S. Army Reserves Major Dustin Whidden in his suit against Form Energy, for wrongfully terminating Major Whidden in retaliation for his lawful exercise of his right to free speech. Major Whidden was terminated by Form Energy after expressing his personal political views on X and participating in active-duty training for the U.S. Army Reserves. In retaliation for Major Whidden’s exercise of his free speech rights and Reservist training, Form Energy took disciplinary action against him, including requiring him to censor his speech on his personal social media account and attend individual “reeducation.” Form Energy then wrongfully terminated Major Whidden on the day he returned from active-duty training.
