time for some new rules of engagement, so here we go. 🏃‍♂️ starting today i will begin a much more proactive winter cleanup on my feed. why - simple and common sense, it’s a very necessary filtering for the next chapter of acceleration. what - once it becomes clear that someone is essentially manifesting what in technical and elegant speak is called “energy vampire” behavior, sucking people’s energy more than adding value or contributing, perpetually feeding on drama porn, begging for clicks, moving from one outrage to another, i will preemptively block the person, to enable fresh air and a clean mental space. how - let me make it fun and clear: if you’re generally not a builder, consuming more than you contribute, taking more than you add, love to spend your day in a low energy complainer mode, are self entitled, self absorbed and generally take things for granted, have little to no sense of proportions and are the consummate drama queen with little to no substance, and love to reinforce victimhood as your soulbound identity trait — well, i am not your mother and cannot help you. i am not here to solve your issues, and neither is this community. therefore, will exert my freedom to protect my time, energy and mental space, and block you. will hope that somehow the truth will set you free. :) one case study of the phenomenon in practice is grm failed drama vampire. pure drama porn guy, begging for a few clicks, and unable to actually find a way to do something to contribute. parasitic behavior is best taken out. freeing him up to suck the energy of someone else. only half joking actually haha. trolls and energy vampires have mistakenly been given a free pass for too long, it is now time to give them a clear thou shall not pass here! will invite all the trolls reading this message to move and plague other communities. everyone is free to express their ideas, and free to disagree, though thoughtfully and respectfully. I am free to cut out BS, self-entitlement, incoherence and problematic behavior. has nothing to do with MvX, just freeing my personal mental space for more useful and productive activities (very novel idea i know haha). “but but, dev ser, isn’t this going to be bad for the community etc etc?” nah, once vampires are out, the community can bloom even more. this is just proactively raising the standard. as your grandma would simply put it: better to have some drama now and cut out the obviously bad part, than to just leave with it your entire life and die a slow death every day. so, cut out the BS, flag the asymmetry between contribution and outrage in people’s behavior, and take the cancer out when you see it. life is short. too short to spend it with complainers and energy drainers. more power to builders, contributors, and every person who seeks to add value and be super useful. ps1. when you see someone complain about being blocked, do a simple check on the above. if they check too many negative boxes, gift them with a block — and link them to this tweet. ps2. If someone wants to gift you with their invaluable advice and wisdom, ask them what they built or how they contributed first. If they can’t show anything for it, well i guess it might be bit of a red flag, and the great wisdom they wish to impart should be taken with a proportional grain of salt. ps3. that said, always curious to hear *ideas and constructive feedback from builders, contributors, or people who genuinely care*. done with the cleanup rants, fresh energy today. less energy waste, full speed ahead. 🫡
