In 2019, the founding team behind https://x.com/astarnetwork was focused on finding a strong way to support the bringers of true innovation: the builders. From this mindset, Astar’s dApp staking was born. Since then it has seen 3 main iterations and continues to be developed. Its come a long way since, and still being proudly developed by our devs with the ongoing feedback of the builder community and the Astar stakers. All this to say that supporting builders in innovative ways has been on our goal since day 1. Builders - and the users they attract - will always be the key driver of growth. No amount of airdrops can attract and create a dedicated user base for a product. Instead, it's the product itself that fits the needs and desires of the user that keeps them around. The Astar Foundation has chosen to support those teams and products to help them achieve a higher level of usability. Easier said than done of course, especially as we are also builders and innovators who continue to compete in an ever-growing industry. Regardless, we push forward all together. An ongoing obstacle for many of these builders we meet is the ongoing need for exposure and attention, especially in this space filled with “drop CA”, and “wen airdrop” comments. Its messy out there and while we can help to a certain extent, theres always more that can be done. Why do I bring up this all up? Mainly to help bring attention to those very builders and to what’s happening through the LFGM campaign hosted by https://x.com/astarnetwork. Its primarily held on the https://x.com/soneium Mintao testnet and showcasing a multitude of teams, in all stages of development - from incubation winners, to up-and-coming newly founded ones. Its an exciting time to be building on Soneium - and especially on Astar. In the LFGM campaign, teams on both sides are leveraging each others unique characteristics. For example Soneium taps into Astar’s core-community who have vast experience in using and testing dapps of all types and able to provide feedback. While Astar leverages Soneium’s reach in different web3 spaces plus it’s newly minted incubation parters hungry to build and collaborate. What ties these teams together is a desire to Go Mainstream, and in this journey its much better to travel together to ensure we get there. Stronger together. The 24+ teams in the campaign will be putting their best face forward. And as it stands, many Soneium teams are integrating Astar’s native token in their projects, further providing more activities and utility to the token holders. Why is this important? Lets go back to dApp staking. The more users are utilizing and staking the Astar native asset, the more financial support these dApp staking builders receive + the more important is becomes to be offically listed as a dApp. By the way, this listing is decided on by the token holders and community through a governance process. We must also mentioned its been trucking along for more than 2 years now. Dependent on community feedback, there’s a possibility to see new teams from the Soneium being eligible in the Astar communities eyes for dApp staking, a tool that we throughly know has the potential to be a game changer and disrupt the face of tired grant models, VC rounds, and the like. Teams being supported by the Astar blockchain token emissions itself, and the stakeholders decided who gets this support, is a truer way of supporting teams. LFGM campaign is a step towards that and brings new innovators to the scene.
