Governance Proposal: Temporary Revenue Reallocation to Accelerate QuickSwap Protocol Expansion The purpose of this proposal is to provide the QuickSwap Foundation with additional resources and operational flexibility to pursue an aggressive period of protocol expansion, product development, integrations, partnerships, and revenue growth. One of the primary areas of expansion will be QuickSwap’s new CLOB-based DEX and white-label exchange infrastructure, although the funding and authority provided under this proposal will support the broader growth of the QuickSwap protocol and ecosystem. This proposal seeks DAO approval to temporarily adjust the distribution of QuickSwap’s protocol revenue from: 30% to the QuickSwap Foundation 70% to the QuickSwap DAO to: 80% to the QuickSwap Foundation 20% to the QuickSwap DAO This temporary allocation would remain in effect for a period of 3 months from the date of implementation. Continue reading the entire proposal below for more details and information. Next Steps: To begin, the governance discussion will run on the official Telegram and Discord community chats until Thursday, August 6 at 12:00 PM UTC Once the discussion finishes, a Snapshot vote will be initiated and run until Monday, August 10 at 12:00 PM UTC Once you’ve read this entire blog post, make sure to visit the community chats to share your perspective with your fellow community members Motivation QuickSwap is entering an important phase of growth. The protocol has an opportunity to expand beyond its existing AMM products, enter new markets, launch additional infrastructure, establish new partnerships, and develop products capable of generating meaningful new revenue streams. To capitalize on these opportunities, QuickSwap must be able to move quickly and deploy resources aggressively. The current 30% Foundation revenue allocation supports the protocol’s existing operations. However, it limits the Foundation’s ability to simultaneously maintain current products while funding significant expansion across development, business operations, infrastructure, marketing, liquidity, integrations, partnerships, and new product launches. The proposed temporary allocation is intended to give the Foundation the resources required to accelerate the protocol’s growth rather than operating under a constrained maintenance-focused budget. This is a temporary reinvestment of protocol revenue into QuickSwap’s expansion, with the objective of increasing the protocol’s long-term competitiveness, adoption, revenue, and value to the DAO and QUICK holders. Protocol Expansion Strategy The additional revenue would be used to pursue a broad protocol expansion strategy. This may include: Developing and launching new QuickSwap products. Expanding QuickSwap across additional chains and ecosystems. Pursuing integrations with wallets, protocols, exchanges, applications, and infrastructure providers. Increasing business development and partnership activity. Strengthening QuickSwap’s engineering, operations, and contributor capacity. Expanding marketing, communications, and user-acquisition efforts. Supporting liquidity, incentives, and market-making arrangements. Funding smart contract development, security audits, infrastructure, and hosting. Developing additional protocol revenue streams. Supporting legal, corporate, compliance, and operational requirements. Responding quickly to strategic opportunities that benefit the protocol. The Foundation would have discretion to allocate resources between these areas based on expected impact, urgency, cost, and the evolving needs of the protocol. CLOB DEX and White-Label Expansion A major focus of the expansion strategy will be the development and commercialization of QuickSwap’s new central limit order book, or CLOB, decentralised exchange infrastructure. The CLOB initiative is intended to expand QuickSwap’s product offering beyond traditional AMM-based trading and create infrastructure that may be deployed through both QuickSwap-branded and white-label exchange solutions. This expansion may provide QuickSwap with opportunities to: Enter new trading markets. Offer more advanced trading functionality. Serve projects, protocols, chains, and institutions seeking exchange infrastructure. Launch customized or branded exchange deployments. Generate revenue from trading, licensing, infrastructure, integrations, and commercial partnerships. Expand QuickSwap’s presence across multiple blockchain ecosystems. Strengthen QuickSwap’s position as a broader decentralized exchange and trading-infrastructure provider. Launching and scaling this initiative will require meaningful investment across engineering, infrastructure, security, liquidity, business development, legal work, marketing, integrations, and commercial operations. While the CLOB and white-label solution will be one of the main areas supported by this proposal, the temporary revenue increase is intended to fund the growth of the QuickSwap protocol as a whole. Temporary Revenue Allocation For 3 months, applicable protocol revenue would be distributed as follows: This proposal does not change the amount of protocol revenue generated or the mechanisms through which it is collected. It only temporarily changes how that revenue is distributed between the Foundation and the DAO. Continued QUICK Buybacks The DAO’s temporary 20% share of protocol revenue will continue to be used for QUICK buybacks under the existing or applicable DAO-approved buyback process. This means that QUICK buybacks will continue throughout the 3-month expansion period. QUICK staking rewards will also continue unaffected by this vote. The proposal is therefore intended to balance two priorities: Directing the majority of short-term protocol revenue toward aggressive expansion and growth. Continuing to return value to the QUICK ecosystem through ongoing buybacks funded by the DAO’s 20% revenue allocation. Delegated Operational Authority To execute an aggressive expansion strategy effectively, the Foundation is also requesting delegated authority to make operational, commercial, and strategic decisions without requiring a separate governance proposal for each individual action. This authority is intended to allow the Foundation to: Act quickly when opportunities arise. Negotiate and enter into commercial arrangements. Hire contributors, developers, contractors, advisors, and service providers. Approve product-development and infrastructure expenditure. Establish partnerships and integrations. Negotiate confidential commercial terms. Allocate resources between products and strategic initiatives. Adjust priorities in response to market conditions, technical requirements, and business opportunities. Take other reasonable actions intended to support QuickSwap’s growth and competitiveness. This delegation is necessary because major product development and commercial expansion frequently require rapid decisions, confidential negotiations, and the ability to commit resources within commercially relevant timeframes. Requiring individual governance approval for every operating decision, expense, integration, or partnership could materially slow execution and cause QuickSwap to lose opportunities to faster-moving competitors. The delegated authority is intended to benefit the protocol and would apply only to decisions reasonably connected to QuickSwap’s operations, development, expansion, and commercialization. Limitations This proposal does not authorize the Foundation to: Permanently change the protocol revenue allocation. Extend the temporary allocation beyond three months without further DAO approval. Change the supply of QUICK. Materially alter the governance rights of QUICK holders. Transfer ownership or control of core DAO assets without appropriate authorization. Make permanent changes to the DAO’s governance structure. Use the DAO’s 20% revenue allocation for purposes other than the applicable DAO-approved process, including the continuation of QUICK buybacks or Treasury expansion. Any action that would ordinarily require a specific DAO governance vote will continue to require DAO approval. Duration and Automatic Reversion The temporary allocation will apply for exactly 3 months from the date it is implemented. After the 3-month period, protocol revenue will automatically return to: 30% to the QuickSwap Foundation 70% to the QuickSwap DAO Any extension, renewal, or permanent change must be approved through a separate governance proposal. Expected Benefits Approval of this proposal is expected to provide QuickSwap with: Greater capacity to fund protocol growth. Faster product development and execution. Increased ability to compete with rapidly expanding protocols. Greater flexibility when negotiating partnerships and integrations. The resources needed to develop and commercialize the CLOB and white-label solution. Increased engineering and operational capacity. Additional opportunities to expand onto new chains and into new markets. The potential to create meaningful new sources of protocol revenue. Continued QUICK buybacks during the temporary expansion period. Greater potential long-term value for the QuickSwap DAO and QUICK holders. Although the DAO will temporarily receive a smaller percentage of protocol revenue, it will continue receiving 20%, which will support ongoing QUICK buybacks. The broader objective is to aggressively reinvest protocol revenue into initiatives that can increase QuickSwap’s future revenue, market presence, product offering, and long-term value. Risks and Mitigations Temporary Reduction in DAO Revenue The DAO’s revenue share will temporarily decrease from 70% to 20%. This is mitigated by the limited 3-month duration, the automatic reversion to the existing allocation, and the continuation of QUICK buybacks using the DAO’s 20% share. Increased Foundation Discretion The Foundation will have greater authority to allocate resources and make operational decisions. This is necessary to support faster execution and is mitigated by the temporary duration, the defined purpose of protocol expansion, the stated limitations, and the commitment to provide a high-level report. Execution Risk Not every investment, product, partnership, or expansion initiative will necessarily produce immediate results. However, maintaining the existing allocation may limit QuickSwap’s ability to pursue growth opportunities and compete effectively. The Foundation believes that the potential long-term benefits justify a temporary period of increased investment. Implementation If approved, the relevant contracts, wallets, multisig instructions, payment processes, or revenue-distribution mechanisms will be updated so that: The QuickSwap Foundation receives 80% of applicable protocol revenue. The QuickSwap DAO receives 20% of applicable protocol revenue. The DAO’s 20% allocation continues to support QUICK buybacks. The temporary allocation begins as soon as reasonably practicable following approval. The revenue allocation automatically returns to 30% Foundation and 70% DAO after three months. The Foundation, DAO contributors, relevant multisig signers, and technical service providers are authorized to take the administrative and technical actions reasonably required to implement this proposal. Voting Options For: Approve the temporary three-month allocation of 80% of protocol revenue to the QuickSwap Foundation and 20% to the QuickSwap DAO, with the DAO allocation continuing to support QUICK buybacks, together with the delegated authority required to accelerate QuickSwap’s protocol expansion. Against: Retain the current allocation of 30% to the QuickSwap Foundation and 70% to the QuickSwap DAO. The QuickSwap Treasury portfolio value has reached $3.94M, up ~1.29% since last week. Besides the diversified blue-chip asset exposure and yield-generating strategies, one of the most important factors is the Treasury’s growing $QUICK position. QuickSwap’s Treasury now holds 25% of the total QUICK token supply (~232M QUICK tokens). This is significant because Treasury-held QUICK represents protocol-owned value that strengthens the ecosystem over the long term. This QUICK is utilised to provide liquidity on the DEX itself, issue emissions in the form of farm rewards to liquidity providers on Base, and more. Combined with ongoing QUICK buybacks funded through protocol revenue, the Treasury continues to reinforce QuickSwap’s long-term sustainability and alignment with the community.

One of the most overlooked developments in DeFi is the emergence of protocol-owned treasuries designed to generate sustainable, long-term value rather than relying solely on market speculation. This is exactly why the QuickSwap Treasury is such an important milestone for the protocol. At its core, the Treasury represents a strategic shift towards creating a self-sustaining economic engine that can support QuickSwap through every phase of future market cycles. The Treasury consists of $QUICK and a diversified portfolio of productive, yield-generating blue chip assets. Rather than allowing capital to sit idle, these tokens are actively deployed across liquidity positions, lending markets, staking strategies, etc. in protocols like Aave, Sky, and Lido. The end result? Treasury assets remain productive, continuously compounding and growing over time. Every swap on QuickSwap generates protocol revenue. That revenue is then allocated toward two key objectives: • Buying back QUICK from the market • Expanding the Treasury’s base of yield-generating assets As protocol activity increases, revenue grows. As revenue grows, buybacks increase and the Treasury expands. As the Treasury expands, it generates more yield. As yield generation increases, the protocol becomes stronger and more sustainable. This creates a positive feedback loop where growth today helps build a stronger foundation for tomorrow. The long-term implications of this are significant. Many DeFi protocols struggle because they depend heavily on emissions, external funding, or favorable market conditions. During prolonged bear markets, these models can become difficult to sustain. A productive Treasury changes that. Instead of relying exclusively on these factors, QuickSwap is building a growing reserve of assets that can generate ongoing revenue regardless of market sentiment. Over time, this Treasury can serve multiple critical functions: • Supporting ecosystem growth and expansion • Funding future incentives and strategic initiatives • Helping fund operations during tough market conditions • Strengthening protocol liquidity • Creating a sustainable source of value accrual for the ecosystem • Reinforcing the long-term utility of the QUICK token The strongest protocols are the ones that can continue building, innovating, and supporting their communities, regardless of market conditions. A growing Treasury gives QuickSwap the ability to do exactly that. In an industry where sustainability is often discussed but rarely achieved, the QuickSwap Treasury represents a meaningful step toward building a DeFi protocol that is designed not just to survive the next cycle, but to thrive through many cycles to come. Dragons are on their way to achieving that mission.

Governance Proposal: Burn 20M QUICK from QuickSwap’s Community Treasury As the protocol has matured and become more established over time, QuickSwap’s key focuses have heavily focused on long-term sustainability, protocol revenue, treasury growth, and (for the QUICK token), buybacks, burns, staking rewards, and liquidity. The community treasury has particularly been a key element in this effort to support growth and development while increasing the QUICK token’s long-term value accrual model. Now, it’s time for the community to make a key decision on whether to initiate a large burn to help further continue this model. This governance proposal has been introduced for the dragon community to vote on approval of burning 20,000,000 QUICK tokens from the QuickSwap Community Treasury. Continue reading the entire proposal below for more details and information. Next Steps: The vote and discussion will run from Monday, June 29 at 4:00 PM UTC and conclude on Friday, July 3 at 4:00 PM UTC Breaking Down The Numbers The QuickSwap Community Treasury currently holds ~249,343,300 QUICK. If this governance proposal were to pass, 2% of the total QUICK supply would be burned, permanently removing 20,000,000 QUICK from circulation. This would also increase the amount of tokens in the burn wallet from ~80,047,066.9612 to ~100,047,066.9612 QUICK, meaning the total amount of QUICK burned would be >10% of the total supply (passing a symbolic milestone of 10%). Proposal & Rationale As mentioned earlier, this governance proposal aims to initiate a burn of 20,000,000 QUICK (2% of the total supply permanently removed from circulation). A burn of 20 million QUICK would be meaningful enough to have a clear impact on the overall supply and tokenomics, while still leaving the Community Treasury with a significant amount of QUICK that can be used for future initiatives. After the burn, the Treasury would still retain more than 229 million QUICK tokens, allowing QuickSwap to continue supporting growth, liquidity, partnerships, incentives, grants, strategic campaigns, and other community-approved initiatives. At the same time, moving the burn wallet balance to >10% of the total supply would create a stronger narrative for QUICK while making the tokenomics more attractive to the broader community. Voting ‘Yes’ signifies approval of the 20,000,000 QUICK burn, whereas voting ‘No’ signifies that no QUICK will be burned from the Community Treasury at this time. Other benefits to burning 20 million QUICK include: Reducing the total available supply of QUICK Demonstrating a clear commitment to long-term token sustainability Strengthening QuickSwap’s buyback and burn initiative (ongoing since October 2025) Aligning with the community’s broader focus on reducing supply over time (via burns) while continuing to build protocol-owned value *Please note that this proposal has no impact on any ongoing protocol revenue streams, fee generation, or operational infrastructure. This proposal is only being put forward to see if the community wants a portion of treasury-held QUICK to be permanently removed from the supply. Dragon’s Syrup Returns with a Twist: QUICK Staking Gets Rewards Reload For all the cutting-edge innovation and pioneering work QuickSwap takes on, every once in a while it’s nice to go for a throwback. And besides, some things are worth bringing back, like glass bottles, retro tees, and your favorite Dragon’s Syrup. That’s right: Dragon’s Syrup is back, on Base, and better than ever. But as usual, QuickSwap is sprinkling in a novel incentive. After all, what’s better than the high-performance DeFi you know and love with some spiced up rewards? It’s time to break down the newest take on the QuickSwap community’s most prized tradition. The Origin, Pause, and Return of Dragon’s Syrup Traditionally, Dragon’s Syrup was a program designed to provide QuickSwap community members with yet another avenue to generate yields from their QUICK holdings. Initiated in August 2021 as an extension of the Dragon’s Lair, the program allowed users to deposit their QUICK into dedicated Syrup pools to earn additional rewards. Unlike the Dragon’s Lair, Dragon’s Syrup issued token rewards from QuickSwap’s ecosystem partners. Projects could sponsor Syrup pools by supplying their own tokens as incentives, allowing QUICK stakers to earn diversified yield while gaining exposure to new assets, communities, and opportunities. Dragon’s Syrup was both a valuable yield tool for QUICK stakers and a powerful channel for emerging projects working to bootstrap their communities, integrate into DeFi, and expand their communities. And of course, QuickSwap was the glue holding it all together. In September 2024, the QuickSwap community put forward a governance proposal titled The Trial of Fire that suggested switching from distributing protocol revenue to concentrating 100% of it to buy back QUICK on the open market and permanently burn it. Implemented in October 2024 and still in action today, QuickSwap’s buyback-and-burn program has been a major success. But wouldn’t it be great to keep the buybacks (and burns) rolling, and still bring Dragon’s Syrup for sweet yields? You bet. Dragon’s Syrup: Act II From day one, QuickSwap built its foundation serving users with a slick UX, in-demand features, and best-in-class yields. That’s why QuickSwap is proud to offer its long-time rewards program with a new rewards token on its newest, high-performance chain. Users can now stake their QUICK on Base to start earning QUICK rewards... and by the way, bridging has never been easier. Thanks to QuickSwap’s CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) integration, users can move their QUICK between Polygon and Base in a flash with Transporter. How to Stake for Dragon’s Syrup Once you’ve got your QUICK on Base, follow 4 simple steps to stake: 1) Begin on the QuickSwap landing page (make sure your Web3 wallet network is switched to Base) 2) Click on the QUICK Utility tab 3) Click on the QUICK Staking tab, and select “Syrup”. 4) Choose how many QUICK you would like to stake, click “Stake” and let the rewards flow in! That’s all for now, dragons. More news, more yields, and more innovation on the way. Stay tuned.
