MSU Space & MapleStory Vibe Camp is here! [Build with MapleStory IP]
Build & compete for $60,000 in NXPC Rewards. Empowering builders worldwide through official MapleStory Universe resources and the AI-Powered Creation Tool: MSU Space.
MapleStory Vibe Camp: A Global Builder Competition
Running from June 8 to June 29, 2026, MapleStory Vibe Camp offers a total prize pool of $60,000 in $NXPC and is open to builders around the world.
Through MSU Space, participants can create and publish MapleStory-inspired experiences, with selected projects receiving recognition, rewards, and potential opportunities for future ecosystem participation.
The First Major Activation of MSU 2.0
The next phase of growth follows its first year of operations.
Key milestones include:
More than 150 million cumulative on-chain transactions
Approximately 49.1 million $NXPC generated in ecosystem revenue
Equivalent to roughly $31 million in ecosystem value
These achievements signal our evolution from a single-game environment into a broader platform focused on creation, distribution, and monetization opportunities built around the MapleStory IP.
Expanding Participation Beyond Players
Sun Young Hwang, CEO Nexpace:
"Over the past year, MapleStory Universe has demonstrated that a large-scale game economy can successfully operate on-chain. The next chapter is about expanding who participates in building it. As AI continues to lower the barrier to game creation, the distinction between player and builder becomes less fixed, and MapleStory IP becomes the foundation that both groups create from and around. Both MapleStory Vibe Camp and MSU Space represent important first steps toward realizing that vision, by lowering barriers to creation and unveiling new ways for communities to build with our legacy IP."
Opening MapleStory IP to a New Generation of Builders
At the center of the initiative is MSU Space, a dedicated environment within Verse8 that provides users access to official MapleStory Universe assets, resources, and development tools.
Builders can leverage:
MapleStory-themed characters
Monsters
Items
Environments
Lore and world-building assets
and much more
Combined with Verse8's AI-assisted game creation capabilities, users can:
Create projects using natural language prompts
Rapidly iterate on gameplay concepts
Publish completed experiences directly through the platform
This reflects MSU 2.0's broader objective of transforming MapleStory from a traditionally closed-game IP into a programmable ecosystem where communities can create new experiences, applications, and services using MapleStory IP.
By combining on-chain infrastructure, AI-assisted creation tools, and community-driven participation, MSU 2.0 aims to significantly reduce barriers traditionally associated with IP-based creation.
Why MSU Space Chose Verse8
As MapleStory Universe expands beyond a single game experience, accessible entry points for builders become increasingly important.
Through its collaboration with Verse8, MSU provides an environment where creators can:
Discover ecosystem opportunities
Experiment with new concepts
Participate in the broader vision of MSU 2.0
The initiative also introduces MapleStory Universe to a broader audience of developers and AI-native builders who may be encountering the ecosystem for the first time.
Kevin Lee, CEO of Verse8, said:
"For decades, building with major gaming IPs has largely been limited to professional studios and approved partners. Through MSU Space and AI, however, creators can now experiment with MapleStory IP in a more accessible way and bring their ideas to life faster than ever before. We're excited to help power the next wave of MapleStory builders."
Together, MSU Space serves as an accessible gateway into the emerging builder economy underpinning MSU 2.0, connecting users with the tools, resources, and infrastructure needed to create with MapleStory IP.
