The DATA Foundation (@datafdn)
Data is becoming the defining resource of the AI era. That's why we're evolving from $IP to $DATA. As the network's mission expands beyond IP to the sourcing, verification, and processing of AI training data, our token should reflect the problem we're solving. FAQs below: •- What if I'm an onchain holder? Native $IP Holders: No action required. Wrapped $IP Holders: Visit our FAQ page for migration steps, linked below. There is no deadline or migration window. •- What happens to my $IP? All $IP converts to $DATA automatically at a 1:1 ratio. Your balance stays the same. •- Do I need to swap or migrate my $IP? No. If you hold native $IP, no action is required. •- If I have staked my $IP, are there any changes? No. Your staking position, duration, and pending stakes remain unchanged. •- What is the $DATA contract address? $DATA is the native token of the network, so it does not have a contract address. •- What changes? The ticker becomes $DATA. We'll update the community on an ongoing basis as needed. •- What doesn't change? The network, technology, team, and your holdings remain the same. •- What else should I expect? Support for $DATA will roll out across exchanges, wallets, and other integrations over time. If you hold $IP on an exchange, no action is required from you. Your balance will be automatically converted to the new ticker. We'd also recommend keeping an eye on announcements from individual exchanges for their specific relisting timelines. •- Why now? Because the future of AI will be defined by data. $DATA reflects the network we're building and the mission ahead. •- What about wrapped $IP? Wrapped $IP (WIP) will continue to work. A new wrapped $DATA token (WDATA) will also be introduced. •- What are the contract addresses for wrapped $DATA? WDATA: 0xD18a56346227f25D1410F98f78234305660bB877 WDATAIP(BNBChain): 0xA37EDed373c5cdF88644db7C6b89f222e756aFB2 •- How can I bridge to $WDATAIP on BNBChain?
