Marathon Season 3 is more than six rounds of staying active 🏃 For Season 3, we focused on improving the overall Marathon experience, making it easier to follow, more social, more personal, and more rewarding. Here’s a deeper look at what’s new and, more importantly, what it means for you 👇 🛡️ Insurance: Insurance protects you against one missed day during a round, giving you some breathing room without removing the challenge of staying consistent. Insurance is purchased separately for each reward pool and each round, with its price dynamically adjusted based on registrations and the previous round’s success rate. And there’s another benefit for the community: 94% of Insurance purchases go directly into the Marathon reward pool, increasing the potential rewards for successful finishers. 👥 A better way to compete together Marathon doesn’t have to be a solo challenge anymore. Season 3 introduces a much deeper Team experience. Create or join a team, customize it with your own name, logo, banner, and description, and follow your teammates throughout the competition. Team leaders can also send notices and daily reminders, while members can react to team updates. It’s designed to make staying consistent a shared effort. Encourage each other, keep your teammates accountable, and compete together. And there’s something worth competing for: Every round, the top three teams receive rewards for every member: 🥇 1st: 5 GGBoxes + 3 Keys 🥈 2nd: 5 GGBoxes + 2 Keys 🥉 3rd: 5 GGBoxes + 1 Key 🏆 Round AND Season Leaderboards Winning one round is great. Performing consistently across an entire season is even better. Teams can now compete across two different leaderboards. 📅 The Round Leaderboard tracks performance during the current 14-day round. 🌎 The Season Leaderboard tracks cumulative performance across all six rounds. This means every round is a fresh opportunity to compete, while long-term consistency matters throughout the entire season. 🎭 Make Marathon yours Your Marathon journey now has its own identity. Choose your Marathon Name and Avatar, then use them across your profile and leaderboards. Season Pass holders also get access to exclusive Avatars and additional Marathon Name changes, giving you even more ways to customize your identity. 📊 A better Marathon Profile Season 3 also makes it easier to look back at what you’ve accomplished. Your enhanced Marathon Profile brings your history, achievements, stats, and performance together in one place. The more you participate, the more your profile becomes a record of your Marathon journey. ⏱️ A clearer daily experience One of our biggest focuses for Season 3 was making Marathon easier to understand day to day. The refreshed challenge interface gives you a clearer view of your daily challenge progress, remaining Energy requirement, Insurance status, and Auto-join settings. There’s also a daily countdown timer, so you always know exactly how much time you have left to complete your activity before the next day begins. Less guesswork, fewer accidental misses, and a much clearer view of where you stand. 🚀 More flexibility when joining a round Missed the start of a round? You now have a little more flexibility. Rounds begin at 12 AM UTC, but registration remains open for another 12 hours, until 12 PM UTC on the first day. Designing Sneakers at STEPN is always a creative challenge: they have to look good, feel alive, and triggers this “wow! I love this!” button But this time, we weren’t designing alone. We teamed up with @Ubisoft to bring their legendary (and dangerously unhinged) @RabbidsOfficial straight into the STEPN ecosystem. From first sketch to full animation, every sneaker was built in collaboration with their team to inject maximum Rabbid chaos into real STEPN utility. Yes, these ridiculous creations can actually be used in our apps to walk, jog, and earn rewards, assuming you can stop laughing long enough to move. 🐰 A Walker made entirely of naked Rabbids 🧻 A Jogger mid-toilet-paper meltdown 👹 A Monster Runner with too many eyes and zero spatial awareness 🎃 A Pumpkin-headed Trainer who thinks he’s your boss It was loud. Here’s the deal: you lock in a fee, you move EVERY day, and you earn GGUSD from participants who didn’t make it!
