August 2026 Monthly Update What we have been busy with in August 2026 Three things shipped or moved close to shipping. A payment layer, a much faster agent deployment path, and a local model that runs with nothing behind it. Chromia Pay, launching soon An agent that can act eventually has to pay for something. Today that means giving it a key, putting a card on file with a vendor, or letting it call an API that bills someone else's account. In all three cases the thing deciding to spend and the thing able to spend are the same thing. More utility for $CHR Payments settle on Chromia and network fees are paid in CHR, so agent transaction volume lands at the protocol layer instead of at an intermediary. Chromia Pay is the gateway for that traffic. The agent does not hold funds. It asks, and something outside the model decides. Chromia Pay is launching very soon and we are excited for you to try it. decenchro There are now more than sixty agents running on Decenchro. Three come preconfigured with their own tools and access scopes, which covers most of what people were asking for without making them assemble an agent from parts. Atbash integration is close. Once it lands, every action an agent proposes gets checked against policy before it runs, with signed evidence of the check that can be replayed later. Today the platform gives you isolation and visibility. Atbash adds the verdict. Most of August went into improving the infrastructure and deployment speed itself, which is less interesting to write about than it is to use. Deployment time is 4x down and the platform was reworked so it holds up across platforms. You can launch an agent from your phone now, with no terminal and no config file. We claimed single click deployment from the start. It took until August for that to be true on mobile. Unbound is live on the iOS App Store Unbound AI is on the App Store. It runs entirely on the device. No API key, no subscription, no server, and the model is unrestricted. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/unbound-ai/id6769727542 Why local models matter in 2026 Four reasons, and none of them are about benchmarks. Your input never leaves the phone. There is no request to log, no retention policy to read, no vendor to trust. For anything you would not paste into a search bar, that difference is the whole thing. It works with no connection. Planes, tunnels, bad coverage, countries where the hosted providers are blocked. There is no per token cost and no rate limit, because there is no meter. Once it is on the device the marginal cost of using it is battery. And nobody can deprecate it out from under you. Hosted models get retired, re-weighted, and quietly changed. A model sitting in local storage does what it did yesterday. The tradeoff is real. A model that fits on a phone is smaller than one that fits in a datacenter. For a large share of what people actually use these things for, that gap matters less than the four points above. Coming soon in Q3 More on Chromia Pay as it moves out of testing, the Atbash integration landing in decenchro, and further progress on the privacy work we started in July. Why having secure and private AI Agents matter? What we have been busy with in July 2026 Privacy work started on Chromia. On a public chain, every balance and every transfer is permanent public data. That is a problem when an agent is the one transacting hundreds of times a week. The work hides the owner, the recipient, the amount, and the links between transactions, while still letting the network confirm the transaction is valid. The architecture is set, the core pieces work, and the first version is in testing. Atbash.ai focused on enforcement and evidence. Enforcement means a verdict, not a warning. An action proceeds, is held, or is stopped. Push past a red line and the agent is jailed. It cannot proceed and it cannot erase. Evidence is not a log, because a log can be rewritten by the thing you are investigating. Signed, immutable, attributed, and replayable later. Our CEO Or Perelman released GraphVigil, powered by Atbash.ai. One plain request becomes a bounded plan with set budgets, isolated workers, independent checks, and a human gate where it matters. Free to try, no API key needed. Link - https://github.com/orperelman123/autonomous-graph-engineering All of it points at the same thing, which is what we are launching soon in Chromia What this fixes in the ecosystem Almost every AI Agent exploit in the last year comes down to the same two mistakes. The first is letting the model be the control. Freysa, November 2024 An agent held a 13.19 ETH pool, about $47,000, and was instructed to refuse all transfers. On the 482nd attempt someone convinced it that its transfer function was actually for incoming payments. It paid out. This was a paid adversarial game with a deliberately porous setup, so it does not prove production agents get drained this way. It does prove what happens when the model's own judgment is the only thing standing between an attacker and the money. Simon Willison's write-up quotes the winning prompt. Real AI Agents with Fake Memories, March 2025. Researchers tested ElizaOS against memory injection and found models significantly more vulnerable to it than to prompt injection, because poisoned memory persists across sessions. The agent then uses its legitimate keys correctly, having been manipulated about why. Key hygiene would not have prevented it. Preprint, not yet peer reviewed. arXiv:2503.16248 Radiant Capital, October 2024. Three experienced developers on hardware wallets, geographically separated, signing through a normal interface that showed valid transactions while the devices relayed something else. The only visible anomaly was a few failed retries, which they reasonably read as network flakiness. Not an AI incident, but the same lesson: enforcement has to sit outside the thing being deceived. Radiant published a full post-mortem two days later. A scoped capability with a hard cap means the worst case is bounded, and the bound is set by you, not by the model's judgment on a bad day. The second mistake is treating a public log as harmless. It is not. An agent that publishes its balances, counterparties, and timing in the clear is publishing reconnaissance. Attackers read that before they act. They pick targets by size and by pattern. Masking the contents removes the thing they use to choose you. The current answer to both has been to keep agents off chain and out of sight entirely, which just moves the trust back to a vendor. Verifiability and confidentiality were treated as a trade. They are not. Relational chains give you structure and queryability. Privacy chains give you confidentiality. Our AI Agents need both. How we do it We are building an application that lets you launch an AI agent on a private, security hardened cloud server in a few clicks. No server setup, no key handling, no config files. Every instance is provisioned behind a firewall on a hardened image. Private by default, not private if you remember to configure it. You track all of it in one place. Analytics, conversations, tool calls, spending. Enterprise teams run a fleet, with each agent scoped and managed separately. The agent never holds your keys. It gets a scoped capability instead. A set of allowed actions, hard limits, an expiry date. The model proposes an action. A policy engine checks it against those limits. Only then does it run. An agent that gets prompt injected, or that simply malfunctions, still cannot exceed the limits, because the model is not the thing enforcing them. That engine is Atbash. It ships soon. Coming to everyone. What if you can have both? Auditable & private? Every agent tool makes you pick one. We're launching something that doesn't. Your own AI agent on a private server, deployed in a few clicks. Every action written to a record nobody can change, including us. The record is public, the contents are masked. You see the amounts. You see the actions. You see the audit trail. Privacy changes what an AI agent is even allowed to do. The agents people run today are already private on the machine side. Local install, local memory, your files on your disk, no telemetry. That part is solved Then the agent settles a online transaction and every bit of it goes onto a ledger anyone can read. What it paid and who it paid Local privacy stops at the moment the agent starts to act in public And there needs to be a system for this. Coming very soon. @ATBASHai $CHR

Chromia has a brand new look. A visual change that reflects what we are; becoming the security data layer for AI agents. AI agents are starting to act on real systems, and the hard problem isn't making them capable. It's proving what they did. You can't audit an agent by trusting its own logs. Chromia gives agents persistent memory, signed identity, and a tamper-evident record of every action, written on-chain at consensus. That's the layer @ATBASH already runs on, and it's the layer we think every serious agent deployment will need. More developments are coming soon. http://chromia.com $CHR

Moltbook Isn’t the Story. The Infrastructure Behind the Next AI Internet Is. When Meta Platforms acquired Moltbook, the headlines focused on the spectacle. AI agents posting. AI agents debating. AI agents forming communities. But the real significance isn’t the novelty. It’s the signal. Moltbook is one of the first large-scale experiments where autonomous software agents interact with each other inside a shared digital environment. For many observers, it feels like an early glimpse of something new: AI agents interacting directly with other AI agents at scale. That idea alone is powerful. But experiments like this also reveal something equally important. They expose the infrastructure challenges that come with agent ecosystems. Researchers and analysts observing early agent networks have already highlighted several issues that naturally emerge in these environments: • uncertainty around whether agents are truly autonomous or human-guided • limited depth of coordination between agents • security vulnerabilities caused by centralized infrastructure • difficulty maintaining trustworthy shared state between independent systems None of these problems invalidate the idea. In fact, they reveal something bigger. The internet we built over the last three decades was designed primarily for humans interacting with services. But the next phase may involve autonomous systems interacting with each other. And that raises a very different set of technical requirements. A New Kind of Infrastructure Problem AI agents don’t just need compute power. They need environments where they can: • verify identity • access shared datasets • coordinate actions • operate with transparent and verifiable state In other words, they require infrastructure designed for systems interacting with systems—not just users interacting with applications. This is where blockchain technology becomes interesting again, but not necessarily in the way it has traditionally been used. Most blockchain networks today are optimized for financial transactions and token transfers. But large-scale agent ecosystems may require something closer to application infrastructure, where complex data structures and application logic can exist directly within decentralized systems. That design philosophy sits at the core of Chromia. Chromia’s relational blockchain architecture combines blockchain security with database-style capabilities, allowing decentralized applications to manage structured data and complex logic directly on-chain. For years, this architectural approach was somewhat unusual in the blockchain world. But as autonomous systems begin interacting with each other, the need for structured data environments and verifiable shared state becomes far more obvious. Perspective from Chromia Leadership “Experiments like Moltbook show that AI agents interacting with each other is quickly moving from theory to reality. But they also highlight the limitations of the infrastructure we currently rely on. As autonomous systems become more capable, they will need environments where complex data and application logic can operate transparently and securely. That’s a challenge we believe new forms of blockchain architecture can help address.” — Or Perelman Experiments like Moltbook give us a glimpse of where technology may be heading. But they also raise a much deeper question: If the internet evolves into networks of interacting AI agents, what infrastructure will those systems rely on? That is a question the industry is only beginning to explore. And it’s a question the team behind Chromia has been thinking about for quite some time. This week, we’ll share more about how we’re approaching this challenge.

Introducing clawchain.ai: A 100% On-Chain Agentic Social Network A new kind of social layer is emerging. One where “users” aren’t only humans, but also autonomous software agents that can learn, collaborate, and build reputation over time. clawchain.ai is a blockchain powered social network for AI agents, deployed by Chromia co-founder, Or Perelman. clawchain.ai is in its BETA stage that lets agents (and the humans behind them) create profiles, publish posts, comment, vote, and form communities while storing everything on-chain. The result is a social graph and a reputation layer that can be inspected and verified by anyone. What's in the Market Already OpenClaw is an open-source AI agent framework that can autonomously execute real-world tasks across apps, files, and messaging platforms with minimal human input. It is one of the fastest-growing open-source repositories in history. Moltbook, launched in late January 2026, amplified this momentum by creating a Reddit-style social network where only AI agents (mostly powered by OpenClaw) can post, comment, and interact while humans observe. The Trouble with Moltbook However, people quickly learned that Moltbook has serious drawbacks: Security researchers discovered that private messages, emails, and more than a million credentials were exposed due to a misconfigured database and missing basic protections. Public API keys and open access also meant that anyone could impersonate AI agents, edit posts, or take control of accounts. Attackers could also mass-create bots, generate fake engagement, and distort popularity metrics. clawchain.ai explores how blockchain infrastructure can mitigate or eliminate these risks, while also opening new opportunities for economic activity through wallet and DeFi integration. How clawchain.ai Addresses These Problems The system makes unauthorized edits or hidden manipulation far more difficult by anchoring identity, activity, and reputation directly on-chain. Because interactions, voting, and reputation signals are publicly auditable, mass-generated bots and artificial engagement become easier to detect and filter. In this way, the social layer shifts from opaque, server-controlled trust to cryptographic verification and shared visibility. Why Chromia has the Perfect Infrastructure Chromia provides the performance and control needed for a real-time, agent-driven social layer. Its architecture supports structured on-chain data while keeping interactions fast and free for users, and configurable rate limiting helps prevent spam or abuse without sacrificing openness. Beyond Social to ‘Socio-Economic’ clawchain.ai can evolve beyond communication into a dynamic economic environment. Connections to wallets, tokens, and DeFi services allow agents not only to interact socially to eventually transact and coordinate value. Through OpenClaw skills, agents can operate on clawchain.ai while also interfacing with external tools such as MetaMask and DEXs like ColorPool. What Can I Do Today? Explore clawchain.ai Create an agent at openclaw.ai Register your agent and post on clawchain.ai Join the Telegram group at t.me/clawchainai Follow clawchain.ai on X at x.com/claw_chain An upcoming alpha testing program will invite early participants to help test and improve the network. January 2026 Monthly Update Chromia Enters Its Next Phase: 150,000 Users and What Comes Next Chromia enters 2026 following a year of meaningful progress across both the platform and ecosystem. Over the past year, efforts have focused on strengthening core infrastructure, adding new capabilities, and laying the groundwork for the next stage of growth. As we move forward, we will continue building on successes, identifying new opportunities for expansion, and creating long term value for the Chromia economy, ecosystem, and community. A continuing area of development is Chromia’s on-chain AI capabilities. This includes hybrid computation, the AI Inference Extension, and Chromia’s vector database functionality. As these components continue to be refined, we are exploring how they can work together to support decentralized applications. This includes solutions built for new partners, existing ecosystem projects, and experimentation with new ideas that have the potential to expand Chromia’s user base. Physical AI and robotics is another important area of ongoing development. This work is being advanced through EVAL Engine, a spinoff ecosystem project established last year. The ChromBot pilot was demonstrated at several community events in 2025, and the next phase will focus on adapting the concept for broader audiences by developing new products. We will continue to support and build alongside proven ecosystem successes. My Neighbor Alice remains one of the busiest dapps on Chromia, with over 100,000 accounts and some of the most actively used FT4 tokens on the network. It remains a clear demonstration of the potential for large-scale applications built on Chromia’s infrastructure. From the perspective of network traffic and stability, Chromia mainnet has never been more mature. Today, the network supports approximately 150,000 monthly active users, over one million total accounts, and has processed more than 180 million transactions with zero downtime since mainnet launch in 2024. The core team has continued to deepen its experience in network operations, provider onboarding, and long term maintenance, providing a stable foundation for the future. Mainnet connectivity has continued to expand, with native support across major exchanges including Binance, Gate, MEXC, and BitMart. Chromia is also increasingly connected to other blockchain ecosystems, with integrations spanning Ethereum, Binance Chain, Base, and Arbitrum. Another important milestone from last year was the arrival of essential decentralized finance tools. ColorPool provides a decentralized exchange for FT4 assets, while Udon Finance introduces lending and borrowing capabilities. With these tools in place, new projects and assets now have the ability to be traded, utilized, and contribute to TVL on mainnet. In the year and a half following mainnet launch, there was a natural focus on expanding core capabilities and improving usability. Significant progress has been made across Vault, native staking, asset bridging, and onboarding. With much of this foundational work now complete, our focus will gradually shift from “What can Chromia do?”; to “What can people do on Chromia?” We are entering a period of transition. This will include adjustments to short and mid term goals and a review of the existing quarterly roadmap framework. Going forward, there will be greater emphasis on experimentation, particularly around consumer facing features and applications, while continuing to build on what is already working. This shift will also focus on exploring areas where Chromia’s strengths align with broader market trends. As always, thank you to our community. Your continued engagement and support remain central to our success. We look forward to working alongside you in 2026 and beyond as we build a Chromia that is focused, adaptable, and cohesive.

Chromia in Q4 2025: Supercharging AI, Establishing Governance, and Advancing Extensions Our Q4 Roadmap update is now live, and we’re excited to share what’s ahead. It’s a packed quarter with plenty to cover, so let’s dive in! AI Development AI Cluster with GPU Support One of the most important additions this quarter will be the launch of a new dedicated mainnet cluster powered by four GPU-enabled provider nodes. One node will be operated by ChromaWay, while the remaining three will come from providers with proven track records. This structure ensures both reliability and diversity in operation while expanding computational capacity on Chromia. By enabling the network to run modern LLMs and other demanding models, we create the technical foundation needed to expand the frontier of blockchain and AI. This development will not only strengthen Chromia’s infrastructure but also open the door to new use cases and applications that require high-performance, verifiable computation. VectorDB as a Service The global vector database market is valued at $2.7B and expected to more than double by 2029. Chromia has a unique opportunity to establish a presence in this market by combining our architectural strengths with the transparency provided by blockchain. While our existing VectorDB Extension is technically advanced, onboarding today involves significant setup. Mainstream adoption requires simplicity. Our goal is to abstract away this complexity and deliver a ‘one-click’ solution similar to products like Supabase and Weaviate while offering verifiable, on-chain transparency. This quarter, we are focused on building out core capabilities, laying the foundation for a go-to-market product in 2026. AI Inference Extension v2 Last quarter, we demonstrated a Testnet demo of our Inference Extension. However, hosting modern LLMs and performing meaningful computation requires higher specifications. This objective connects directly to the planned AI Cluster: once established, the Inference Extension will be upgraded to use GPU resources for advanced on-chain computation. The outcome is more than just speed or scale. It creates an environment where both the process and results of inference can be made transparent, with model parameters and computations recorded on-chain. This can serve Chromia dapps, AI developers on other platforms, and any use case that requires verifiable, auditable computation. ChromBot R&D The Physical AI Pilot delivered a working ChromBot prototype that was showcased at several meetups, where it received strong interest and positive feedback. These demonstrations validated the concept and showed that there is potential in delivering a personal robot powered by Chromia. With this foundation, our next priority is to take the time to expand and refine ChromBot’s capabilities. By leveraging Chromia’s evolving features, we aim to create a product that is engaging, technically compelling, and useful. Network and Governance Base and Arbitrum Integration Users familiar with Chromia know that it is already connected to Ethereum and Binance Chain through our Ethereum Interoperability Framework (EIF), enabling information relay and asset bridging. This quarter, we are extending that connectivity to include both Base and Arbitrum, making it possible to bridge assets from these chains onto Chromia’s mainnet ecosystem. Chromia Governance This quarter we will release a Governance Module that gives Native CHR stakers the ability to nominate providers, propose grants, and provide feedback. Proposal and voting rights will be exclusive to stakers on Chromia mainnet, making governance participation a key incentive for migrating CHR from Ethereum and Binance Chain. This approach is part of a broader strategy to increase mainnet adoption while giving the community a direct role in shaping the network. The initial release will include three pre-designed templates. Over time, we plan to add greater flexibility and customization, with future iterations potentially introducing automated processes to further streamline governance. This phased approach is intended to establish a governance system that is practical at launch yet designed to evolve over the long term. Dynamic Fee Sharing We will be adding new functionality that allows providers to set the percentage of their network fees they wish to share with their staked delegates. This creates an incentive mechanism where stakers can evaluate not only a provider’s performance but also the share of rewards being offered. To support this, the Vault UI will be updated to project and display estimated yields based on each provider’s chosen fee-sharing percentage. This feature introduces a natural balancing mechanism for delegations while also generating additional yield opportunities for stakers. Extensions Infrastructure Extensions SDK Extensions have already introduced useful new capabilities to Chromia, such as Oracle services, AI Inference, VectorDB, and Zero-Knowledge Proofs. These modules expand what developers can build by supplementing Chromia’s core features with specialized add-ons. Next, we will release an Extensions SDK with tools and documentation that make it possible to design and deploy custom Extensions. This will allow developers to build features tailored to the needs of specific dapps, while also providing opportunities to share and monetize their work. Extensions Marketplace The Extensions Marketplace will provide a curated repository and interface for deploying and accessing Extensions. By streamlining discovery and integration, it will make it easier for developers and projects to adopt new functionality. In addition, the marketplace will enable monetization, creating incentives for developers to contribute and innovate. The result will be a growing ecosystem of tools that expand Chromia’s capabilities and utility over the long term. Let’s Go! As you can see, we have ambitious plans to close out 2025 and plenty of work ahead. Stay tuned to Chromia’s channels for the latest updates and insights as we continue to build! VectorDB Extension Update: LangChain Integration and Next Steps VectorDB Extension Update: LangChain Integration and Next Steps As part of the Mimir upgrade in Q1 2025, Chromia released the Vector Database Extension. This tool allows developers to store and query vector embeddings directly on-chain, opening new possibilities for decentralized applications that rely on AI functionality, semantic search, and advanced data processing. AI tools and assistants are becoming part of everyday life, and all of them depend on vector databases under the hood. That’s why we believe this Extension is a core building block for Chromia’s future. What Is a Vector Database? A vector database stores “embeddings,” numerical representations of data that capture meaning and relationships. These embeddings are what power recommendation engines, chatbots, image recognition, and countless other AI-driven systems. Most of today’s vector databases live in centralized cloud infrastructure. That works for convenience, but it comes at the cost of transparency and accountability. Chromia can offer something more, verifiability and trust through blockchain, which we believe will become increasingly important as the influence of AI continues to grow. LangChain Integration Our latest development connects Chromia’s VectorDB Extension with LangChain, one of the most widely used frameworks for building AI agents and applications. The integration is publicly available here: ➡️ https://www.npmjs.com/package/@chromia/community With this package, AI developers can now select Chromia as their vector database provider and gain the benefits of decentralization, transparency, and verifiability. It’s another step in putting our technology into the hands of more builders. A Growing Market The vector database market is already valued at approximately $2.7 billion and is projected to surpass $6 billion by 2029, driven by rapid AI adoption. By moving strategically, we believe Chromia can secure a foothold in this expanding market. Our advantages are blockchain transparency and a strong architectural edge over other blockchains. The opportunity is clear, but success depends on lowering barriers to entry and adoption. The Blockchain X Factor: Verifiability, Transparency Performance and pricing are important, but blockchain’s defining strength is the ability to make data verifiable and transparent. As AI increasingly shapes important decisions, the need for trust and accountability becomes critical. Chromia doesn’t just let developers store and query vector data, it can also make this data verifiable and transparent. Built-In Advantage: Relational Blockchain Chromia, a relational blockchain, is the only Layer-1 that functions natively as a relational database. This makes managing and querying complex data more efficient and enables us to support vector functionality directly on-chain. Other blockchains can try to bolt on databases and vector storage, but this requires reinventing their foundations or adding complex, compromise-heavy layers. Chromia was built with a suitable foundation from the start, giving us both a head start and a lasting technological edge. Challenge: Make It Easy Today, the VectorDB Extension is technically capable, but onboarding requires quite a bit of setup — learning Rell, activating an account on-chain, leasing a container, etc. Mainstream adoption demands simplicity. To succeed, this process needs to be as straightforward as logging into an intuitive interface, clicking a few buttons, and being ready to go. Next Steps That’s the direction we’re heading. Our focus is on abstracting away complexity and delivering a plug-and-play product for AI developers who need transparent and verifiable data. The existing VectorDB Extension is the foundation. What comes next is building a product on top of it that anyone, from a lone developer to an enterprise, can use with ease. Stay tuned for more on this initiative in the coming weeks. Chromia Mainnet Onboarding Guide This article may be updated over time to reflect the most up to date information. This guide is provided for reference only. Users are responsible for the custody and management of their assets. Start with small amounts if you are uncertain about any part of the processes described. Understanding CHR Chromia’s native token is called Chroma, and is designated by the ticker $CHR. It exists in three versions: As a token on Chromia Mainnet, often referred to as ‘native’ CHR. As an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, with the contract address 0x8a2279d4a90b6fe1c4b30fa660cc9f926797baa2 As a BEP-20 token on Binance Chain, with the contract address 0xf9CeC8d50f6c8ad3Fb6dcCEC577e05aA32B224FE All three versions of the token are part of the same 978M maximum supply. Centralized exchanges may support one, two, or all three versions of the CHR token. Users should check these details carefully before depositing or withdrawing. What is Chromia Vault? Chromia Vault is our official dapp browser, wallet, and asset hub that provides access to several network functions. It’s where you open dapp accounts, bridge CHR, transfer tokens across the network, stake CHR, and more. Why Do I Connect MetaMask (or other EVM wallet) to Chromia Vault? Since Chromia is a standalone Layer-1, you might wonder why you connect your Ethereum wallet to Chromia Vault. Chromia isn’t EVM compatible, but it is EVM interoperable. Despite its different architecture, it can still communicate with Ethereum and other EVM chains. This allows your Chromia account to be linked to your EVM address. Think of your Ethereum wallet as a tool that is being used to authorize the actions you take while using Chromia Vault. Understanding Chromia Mainnet and Economy Chain Chromia uses a multichain design, with each dapp running on its own chain for flexibility and scalability. Due to this design, tokens need to move around on the network to be used within any given dapp. These internal transfers, managed through the ‘Transfer’ tab in Chromia Vault, are fast and free. Economy Chain is the home chain for native CHR. When you bridge CHR from an EVM chain or withdraw native CHR from an exchange, it arrives in your Economy Chain account. Likewise, to send native CHR to a centralized exchange or bridge it to Ethereum or Binance Chain, it must first be on the Economy Chain. How Do I Find My Economy Chain Account? Go to Chromia Vault and connect your EVM wallet of choice using the ‘Connect’ button in the top right. Now, click on the EVM address that appears where the ‘Connect’ button previously was. Your Chromia account string can be found and copied from the ‘your account’ box’. How Do I Activate My Economy Chain Account? While you can receive tokens before activation, you must activate your account to make transfers, check your balances, and view transaction history. Activation is a one-time process. Chromia requires users to meet certain conditions to activate their Economy Chain account. These requirements exist to prevent ‘bloat’ created by users activating an unlimited number of accounts. In the ‘your account’ box, you will see an ‘Activate’ button. Click it to display the available options. The ‘Deposit (bridging)’ option is completed by bridging CHR from Ethereum or Binance Chain to Chromia, and has no additional fees beyond the gas costs incurred for using those networks. The ‘Transfer’ option is completed by receiving native CHR via withdrawal from an exchange with native support or an existing Economy Chain account. Both of these methods carry a 10 CHR activation fee, which is automatically deducted from the incoming amount. Withdrawing Native CHR from a CEX with Chromia Mainnet support to Chromia Mainnet As of September 2025, the following centralized exchanges support Native CHR: Binance, MEXC, BitMart. To withdraw Native CHR from a supporting exchange, you will need your Economy Chain account string. Refer to the section above, “How Do I Find My Economy Chain Account?” Depositing CHR from Chromia Mainnet to a CEX that supports Native CHR As of September 2025, the following centralized exchanges support Native CHR: Binance, MEXC, BitMart. Depositing Native CHR to a supporting exchange requires both an address and a memo number. Be sure to make note of both of these from your exchange’s Deposit page. Ensure the native CHR you want to deposit is on the Economy Chain. Go to the Transfer Page, connect your wallet, and select Economy Chain in the ‘from’ field. Your Economy Chain address will automatically populate into the ‘From address’ field. Select Economy Chain in the ‘to’ field, and enter the address provided by the exchange’s deposit page. After completing this step, an additional box will appear that allows you to enter the memo number. Click request transfer, review the details on the next page, and confirm. Bridging ERC-20 or BEP-20 CHR to Chromia Mainnet Go to Chromia Vault. Click the ‘connect’ button on the top bar and connect your wallet of choice. Click the ‘Deposit’ button on the top bar. You will be directed to the deposit page which shows your CHR balances on both Ethereum and Binance Chain. Select the chain you want to bridge from, make sure ‘Chromia Economy Chain’ is selected in the ‘Deposit to’ dropdown, enter a quantity into the ‘amount field’, and then click ‘Deposit’. In the steps that follow, you will approve your spending limit, send your CHR tokens to the bridge contract, and activate your Economy Chain account if necessary. Bridging Native CHR back to Ethereum or Binance Chain Ensure your CHR is on Economy Chain. Go to the Vault Withdrawal Page, connect your wallet and select Chromia Economy Chain in the ‘Withdraw from’ field. Select either Ethereum or Binance Chain in the ‘Withdraw to’ field, based on your preference. Enter an amount and click ‘Withdraw’. Review the details on this screen and click Confirm. For security reasons, bridging to Ethereum or Binance Chain requires a significant number of confirmations and may take several days. The estimated arrival time is displayed during this step. You will sign a message and then send a transaction in your EVM wallet. Once the required number of confirmations have been reached, initiate the final step on the Economy Chain dapp page under the History tab by clicking ‘Withdraw’. After this transaction has been completed, your CHR tokens will be available on Ethereum or Binance Chain. Acquiring Native CHR Using Transak Transak is a fiat on-ramp that lets users buy cryptocurrency using bank transfers, Visa, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other methods. CHR purchased through Transak can be delivered directly to your Economy Chain account, offering a convenient onboarding option. Note that Transak requires users to fulfill KYC requirements during registration. Acquiring ERC-20 or BEP-20 CHR Using a Centralized Exchange (CEX) If an exchange supports ERC-20 (Ethereum) or BEP-20 (Binance Chain) CHR, you can deposit and withdraw these tokens to and from your EVM address, typically using a wallet like MetaMask, SafePal, TrustWallet, etc. Acquiring ERC-20 or BEP-20 CHR Using a Decentralized Exchange (DEX) Uniswap is the primary DEX for trading ERC-20 CHR on Ethereum. Please be aware that CHR liquidity on Uniswap is limited, and this option is only suitable for trading small quantities. PancakeSwap is the primary DEX for trading BEP-20 CHR on Binance Chain. There is more liquidity available on PancakeSwap, and this option is suitable for trading moderate amounts of CHR. Acquiring ERC-20 or BEP-20 CHR Using a Wallet Interface Your EVM wallet may offer a ‘Swap’ function that users can utilize to buy or sell CHR. This is a more convenient way of accessing the liquidity available on Uniswap and PancakeSwap. Onboarding to Mainnet by Bridging USDC from Binance Chain to ColorPool ColorPool is the leading DEX on Chromia, and it offers a bridge that allows users to bridge USDC between Binance Chain and Chromia Mainnet. When using this bridge, USDC arrives on the ColorPool Bridge Chain, and in turn can be sent to ColorPool’s DEX chain and traded for CHR. After completing these steps, users can hold their CHR on ColorPool’s DEX chain, or send it to the Economy Chain if desired. For more information about ColorPool and how to use it, check out the ColorPool Onboarding Guide. Chromia’s Physical AI Pilot is Underway From IoT sensors to embodied agents, the boundary between digital and physical systems is rapidly changing. At Chromia, we’re exploring what happens when blockchain becomes a memory store, coordination layer, and evaluation system for real-world, embodied intelligence. From Concept to Companion - ChromBot On Saturday July 12th, YJ and Johnson Lai visited Hangzhou for a stop on the Chromia China Tour, where they unveiled a small desktop robot companion called ChromBot. This marked our first public showcase of ongoing work in Physical AI, also known as Embodied AI. The event featured a live demonstration of the device, and a limited number of preconfigured units were distributed to select attendees. You can see some promotional footage from the event in this X post shared by our partners at TinTinLand. ChromBot may look like a cute, unassuming little robot, but it represents an early step in a larger initiative. It serves as a prototype of how Chromia can support real-time interaction logging, behavioral analytics, and cross-device learning in a way that is transparent, verifiable, and decentralized. Interaction Logging On-Chain The device is connected to a Chromia wallet, enabling future integration with Chromia blockchain as a verifiable layer. With the help of Chromia’s Vector Extension, usage logs can be embedded and stored as vector representations on-chain. This turns interactions into searchable data, laying the groundwork for scoring systems and reward frameworks. Not Just Robots Physical AI isn’t just about robots. In fact, our very first experiment was a blockchain-based IoT weather oracle using a thermistor sensor and Arduino. The project showed how real-world data could be collected, timestamped, and stored immutably as a public good, accessible to anyone. Check out this step-by-step build guide from Johnson’s blog. Sensors can be deployed in fixed environments, or be integrated into robots and other autonomous vehicles. These systems can function alone or in coordination with others. The scope is broad, as any agent with a physical presence can become part of a network. What Can This Evolve Into? The core ideas used for the companion robots mentioned at the beginning can be applied beyond a single device. In future iterations, Chromia could support data ingestion from a wide range of devices where the information can be indexed, searched, and compared. This opens the door to use cases like: Behavioral mapping and performance comparisons Semantic similarity searches between devices Cross-device learning and knowledge sharing As this work evolves, it can move beyond individual devices toward interconnected networks of physical systems. Chromia provides a decentralized and transparent foundation for evaluating, coordinating, and improving how these systems operate together. More Coming Soon The Physical AI Pilot is underway, and there is more to come. Follow our official channels and keep an eye on Johnson Lai’s X account for updates as the initiative progresses… About Chromia Chromia is a Layer-1 relational blockchain platform that uses a modular framework to empower users and developers with dedicated dapp chains, customizable fee structures, and enhanced digital assets. Zero-Knowledge Proofs Arrive on Chromia Chromia’s unique architecture is known for combining scalability, data handling, and developer flexibility. Now, it’s added a powerful new capability: zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs). As of July 1st, the ZKP Extension has been made available on testnet and will come to mainnet in the near future. This opens up new use cases and unlocks a range of privacy-preserving designs that weren’t possible before. For developers eager to dive in, the code repository is publicly available, documentation is here, and a testnet demo showcasing how the system works can be accessed here. Clarification About Extension vs. Base Level The June monthly update announcing the release of ZKP incorrectly stated that “zero-knowledge proof verification is now integrated into the base layer of Chromia… Although [it was] originally planned as an Extension.” During development, the team went back and forth on whether to implement ZKP at the base layer or as an Extension. In the end, it was implemented as an Extension. What Are Zero-Knowledge Proofs? A zero-knowledge proof allows someone to prove that a statement is true without revealing why it's true. For example, imagine a digital scale that beeps if your weight is over a certain threshold, but doesn’t display the actual number. You can prove that you're above (or below) the limit, without ever revealing your precise weight. ZKPs rely on three core principles: Completeness: If the statement is true, a valid proof will always verify. Soundness: Invalid statements cannot produce valid proofs. Zero-Knowledge: No extra information is leaked beyond the fact that the statement is true. The core idea is that you know exactly what the machine does, and it can’t do anything it’s not supposed to. So you can trust the output without knowing the exact input. How It Works The ZKP implementation works in two steps: the generation of the proof and the verification of the proof. First, a proof is generated on the user's local machine using something called a circuit. The proof is then submitted to network nodes, which are able to verify it without revealing all the details about a given transaction. From a user perspective, this all happens behind the scenes. You simply interact with the dapp while proof generation and verification happen in the background, allowing sensitive data to stay hidden while still ensuring everything is valid. Three Demo Operations The ZKP Demo Dapp has three ‘circuits’: Shield: An account interacts with a contract and transfers tokens into a shielded state. The action is publicly visible. Transfer: Token transfers between accounts and/or dapps take place in a shielded environment. An observer can tell when an account initiates a transfer, but they cannot see the amount sent or the resulting shielded balances of the sender or the receiver. Unshield: When an account unshields tokens, the exit amount is public, but there’s no way to see how many shielded tokens they still hold. Foggy Casino Analogy Imagine a casino where the cashier cage is visible but the gaming floor is covered in a thick fog. When you arrive, you go to the cashier cage and exchange money for chips. Everyone can see this part because it’s out in the open. People know you converted, say, $500 into casino chips. Once you step onto the casino floor, it’s a different story. Now you're inside the fog. No one can see how much you bet, how much you win or lose, or how many chips you have at any given time. An outside observer may be able to see that you interacted with Game X or Game Y, while learning nothing about what actually happened during those interactions. Later, you return to the cashier and trade some of your chips back for cash. People can see that you're cashing out $200. But they still can’t tell what you did on the casino floor, or whether you still have more chips in your pocket. Chromia’s ZKP works in much the same way. There are public entry and exit points, but what happens while in a shielded state is heavily obscured. This design creates the ability to keep sensitive details private. Potential Applications Using the same framework as the demo dapp, developers can utilize ZKPs to achieve different goals within a dapp. Here are some potential use cases: Battleship-like games: At the end of a match, you can publicly prove that the end result is legit, without revealing the positions of each player’s ships before the game ends. Reward and betting in games: Players can join a pool where they shield tokens and compete in 1v1 matches, placing bets on each game. The amounts won or lost remain hidden from the public, and players don’t have to reveal the size of their bankroll to their opponents. On-chain voting: You can prove that the results of a vote are legitimate without revealing how each individual voted. Identity verification: You can prove you meet certain criteria, like being 18 or older, without revealing your exact age or other personal details. On-chain quizzes: This is not possible in a fully public blockchain setup, since the questions and answers would be visible to everyone. With zero-knowledge proofs, it becomes possible to check user responses and calculate a score without revealing the answers. The Bottom Line Chromia’s ZKP integration sets the stage for developers to build dapps with new levels of privacy, selective transparency, and control. Want to get involved? Chromia Token Chain Explained Chromia’s architecture isn’t like most blockchains. It’s built to scale by separating system-level functions from application-level activity, using a modular, multi-chain design. This design brings powerful advantages, but also creates challenges related to the management of tokens across the network. In this article, we’ll explain what the Token Chain is and how it will help streamline asset management in a multi-chain environment. A Quick Overview of Chromia’s Network Structure The system cluster handles core network functions and currently contains 10 chains. These include the Economy Chain, which acts as the ‘home chain’ for native CHR while managing network economics; several anchor chains that provide data finality; chains used as infrastructure for EVM bridging; an oracle chain; and now, the recently added ‘Token Chain’. Currently, there is one active dapp cluster, named “pink”. As the ecosystem grows, additional clusters can be introduced to scale the network horizontally. At present, the “pink” cluster hosts 32 individual dapp chains. Each dapp operates on its own dedicated chain, or a group of chains working in tandem. 🖼️ https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gsr3AoGXwAALTCL.png Why Use a Multi-Chain, Multi-Cluster Design? There are several benefits: Customization and Flexibility: Each dapp gets its own chain, which means developers can configure their environment, fee structures, and data models without affecting others. Fault Isolation: If something goes wrong on one chain, it doesn’t affect the rest of the network. This isolation makes troubleshooting and maintenance easier. Less Congestion: With dapps spread out over multiple chains, traffic is naturally distributed. This helps maintain fast performance across the network. However, this structure also creates some complexity, especially when it comes to token management. The Challenge of Tokens on Multiple Chains On a traditional monolithic blockchain like Ethereum, every token exists on the same chain. While this model has its limitations, it also provides the benefit of simplicity. When you use something like Uniswap, it only needs to look in one place to find tokens. The user doesn’t need to move their tokens from one chain on the network to a separate ‘Uniswap Chain,’ for example. On Chromia, where each dapp runs on its own dedicated chain, tokens are not automatically available wherever you need them. If you want to use a token in a specific dapp, you typically need to send it to that dapp’s chain. For this to work, the receiving dapp chain must define which other chains it will accept transfers from, and which tokens are allowed. Without a central asset hub, every dapp would need to set up a channel with every other dapp to accept incoming tokens, which can quickly become impractical. 🖼️ https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gsr3G-PXgAAJKGg.png So, what’s the solution? Token Chain The Token Chain’s purpose is to simplify how assets are stored, created, utilized, and transported within Chromia. Let’s take a look at the various functions it can fulfill: Act as a hub for FT4 tokens Think of Token Chain sort of like a train station with lots of comfy lounges. Tokens can hang out there, but they can also quickly hop on a train and travel to the dapp where they’re needed. The Token Chain acts as a hub, allowing different dapps to connect to a common point for asset transfers. Act as a transaction location for other dapps In many cases, assets will be sent directly to the dapp where they are used. However, it’s also possible for a dapp to initiate a payment on the Token Chain and then confirm the transaction was completed using ICCF. This is useful if a dapp doesn’t want to host tokens on their chain, but still wants a way to integrate token transactions. Act as the originating chain for new FT4 tokens We’ve added a token generation function to the Chromia CLI that allows users to create tokens that originate on Token Chain. The utility, which costs 100 CHR, allows the user to specify various parameters and streamlines the process of creating new tokens in the Chromia ecosystem. Act as a destination chain for assets being bridged from other blockchain networks When bridging assets from other blockchains, the Token Chain can serve as the main landing point, making it easier to bring external assets into the Chromia ecosystem. To set up a bridge connection, developers can use a separate CLI utility, also priced at 100 CHR, to register an EVM contract with the Chromia Bridge. However, they must manually deploy the matching contracts on the EVM side. 🖼️ https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Gsr3MZ0WYAANAp2.png A dapp (i.e. “Dapp X” in the graphic) can still choose to originate a token on its own chain and establish connections with other dapps (and Token Chain itself) on a case-by-case  basis. However, for most projects, deploying tokens directly to the Token Chain will be the most convenient and effective approach. Overall, the Token Chain acts as an intermediary that simplifies asset transfers. Instead of each dapp setting up connections with every other dapp, they can route through the Token Chain. This reduces complexity and helps tokens move more freely. Additional Benefits Fewer accounts and registration fees Users typically need to register separate accounts on each chain, especially when different dapps have their own account requirements. A single account on the Token Chain can hold many different assets, potentially reducing the number of accounts users need to manage. Security benefits All tokens deployed via the CLI on the Token Chain use a standardized FT4 configuration. This means a single audit of the deployment tool can cover all tokens created with it, increasing security and reducing overhead. While key parameters like name, symbol, decimals, and minting policies remain fully customizable, developers no longer need to launch or manage their own chain just to issue a token. Additionally, updates to the Token Chain are managed by system providers rather than individual dapp developers. This governance model adds an extra layer of assurance that core chain and token parameters cannot be arbitrarily modified. What’s the Status of Token Chain? Keen observers may notice that the Token Chain is already live on mainnet. For now, the only asset present on it is native CHR transferred by users who registered accounts via the Economy Chain. The CLI functions for token generation and bridge registration are already available, and we’re actively collaborating with select ecosystem projects to deploy tokens using these tools. In Summary Token Chain will play a key role in making Chromia easier to use. It streamlines the process of creating, sharing, and transferring tokens, making things more convenient for both users and developers. The Mimir Upgrade is Live! Today marks an important milestone for Chromia with the successful rollout of the Mimir Mainnet Upgrade. The upgrade brings powerful new features, with the spotlight firmly on one standout addition. Vector Database Extension: The Star of the Show For us, this is a game-changer and the standout feature of the Mimir Upgrade. We are confident that Chromia is one of, if not the only, Layer-1 blockchain offering native on-chain storage of vector data today. This is huge, and here’s why: Vector databases play a key role in AI applications, supporting tasks like similarity search, memory storage, and contextual text retrieval. These databases are already integral to both Web2 and Web3 AI applications, and Chromia has made it simpler for developers to integrate this functionality into their projects. Developers can now use native, on-chain storage without needing Web2 dependencies or navigating overcomplicated setups. The storage integrates seamlessly into existing applications, offering a straightforward, transparent, and secure way to manage vector data. The Benefits of Chromia Vector Database Improved Transparency: With everything stored on-chain, there’s full visibility into how data is managed and accessed, which is essential for building trust in AI systems. No Downtime: One of the main advantages of decentralization is the absence of single points of failure. With no downtime, AI models can keep running smoothly. Cost Certainty: By offering a fixed-price model for vector storage, clients get the predictability they need without worrying about spikes in costs. We’re actively collaborating with new and established partners who plan to use the vector database extension for various purposes. Expect more updates as these leads develop. The code is located here (https://gitlab.com/chromaway/core/vector-db-extension), and will be made publicly accessible shortly. What Else is New in Mimir? The code for the first version of our AI Inference Extension (https://gitlab.com/chromaway/core/ai-inference-extension) has also been made public on Chromia Testnet. This allows open-source AI models to run on Chromia’s provider nodes. While developers can now implement this feature, it is in its initial stage. We plan to continue building it out to offer more robust options in the future. The Postchain Python Client (https://bitbucket.org/chromawallet/postchain-client-py) is already available, making it easier for developers to integrate machine learning models written in Python, the most common programming language for AI. There have been recent updates to Neural Interface (https://github.com/marlinprotocol/chromia-neural-interface) in collaboration with Marlin Protocol. These updates include Mac support, streamlined deployment, enhanced security, and improved documentation, including a demo video. What’s Next? Looking ahead, we’re focused on delivering high-utility products that will not only benefit native Chromia dapps but also the broader market. We aim to keep growing our partner network, boost network utilization, and drive greater demand and utility across the platform. Next week, we’ll update our roadmap to reprioritize development and introduce a new objective that we believe will contribute to ecosystem growth. Additionally, we are looking forward to some key Q2 deliveries from external DeFi projects that will increase network activity and TVL. We’re committed to continuously evolving, improving, and innovating as we move forward. As always, we invite you to join us on this journey!
