   THE BLOCK: Base creator Jesse Pollak said the shutdown of Blast and Abstract does not mean the Ethereum Layer 2 experiment is over, arguing that chains now have to justify themselves as businesses with product and distribution plans. "Chains are businesses in lots of ways. Not all businesses are going to work," Pollak said in an interview with The Block at Token2049 Singapore.
