Fake Ledger Phishing Site Tops Google Search Results with Over 1M Monthly Visits According to Bitcoin News, amid ongoing investigations into an estimated $86 million in wallet thefts linked to Southeast Asian reseller CryptoBilis, security researcher Cyber Scrilla discovered a fraudulent Ledger phishing website and application appearing at the top of Google Search, designed to trick users into submitting their 24-word recovery phrases. Google reportedly displays more than 1 million visits over the past 30 days. The alert follows a September investigation by cybersecurity firm Zscaler, which uncovered malicious Google ads impersonating Ledger and redirecting users to fake wallet-verification pages.
